Regatul vîntului este un serial istoric cu buget mare care a captivat audienţa şi a cîştigat mai multepremii KBS în 2008. Pe lîngă un scenariu bine pus la punct, el conţine scene de bătălii grandioase, conspiraţii, intrigă politică şi tentative de asasinat.

Povestea serialului este despre Muhyul şi despre al treilea rege Koguryeo căruia i se mai spunea zeul războaielor. Muhyul este nepotul lui Jumong dar se presupune că s-a născut blestemat să-şi ucidă părinţii, fraţii, fiul şi să distrugă ţara. Tatăl său, regele Yuri, a fost îngrozit de profeţie dar nu s-a îndurat să-şi ucidă propriul copil, aşa că a ordinat fiului mai mare, Haemyung, să-l ia pe bebeluş şi să-l ducă undeva departe de palat pentru a trăi ca om de rînd, fără să ştie cine era de fapt. De-a lungul celor 36 de episoade Muhyul trece printr-o mulţime de probe şi încercări pentru a-şi depăşi condiţa nefastă şi în cele din urmă ajunge un rege puternic.

Numele “Coreea”e un derivat din “Goryeo”. Dinastia Joseon a mutat capitala la Hangyang (acum Seoul-ul), de la Gaegyeong in anul 1394 si a facut reforme politice si economice, adoptand confucianismul ca o ideologie de stat.Valul creatiei literare, alfabetul corean isi pun amprenta asupra specificului cultural.

Drapelul national al Coreei este numit Taegeukgi. Designul sau simbolizeaza principiile yin si yang din filozofia asiatica. Cercul situat in centrul drapelului este divizat in doua parti egale. Sectiunea superioara, rosie, reprezinta fortele benefice yang. In partea opusa, albastra, se afla fortele contrare yin. Cele doua forte semnifica miscarea continua, echilibrul si armonia ce caracterizeaza sfera infinitului. Cercul este inconjurat de 4 trigrame,una in fiecare colt. Fiecare trigrama simbolizeaza unul din cele 4 elemente universale: cerul, pamantul, focul si apa.

Relieful si clima

Peninsula Coreea este situata in partea sud estica a continentului asiatic extinzandu-se aproximativ 1020 km de-alungul coastei. Despartita de marea galbena in vest se afla china in timp ce in est despartita de marea de Est se afla Japonia. Muntii acopera peste 70% din suprafata iar de-alungul coastelor peste 3000 de insule sunt raspandite. In momentul de fata peninsula este divizata in Repaublica Coreea, in sud, si Republica popular democrata Coreea in nord separate de zona demilitarizata.
Coreea apartine zonei climatice cu patru anotimpuri distincte. Primavara este de obicei scurta dar insorita si foarte placuta. Vara este foarte calda si umeda cu rafale musonice in Iulie. Toamna este frumosa cu palete aurii si rosu vibrant creand o panorama de culori. Iarna este friguroasa si uscata ocazional cu zapada. Insula Jeju-do in partea de sud est a peninsulei are un climat subtropical moderat.

Poporul si limba

Coreeni provin in principal din aceiasi familie etnica, vorbind aceasi limba. Se crede ca sunt descendenti ai triburilor mongolice care au migrat in peninsula intre Neolitic si epoca bronzului. Limba Coreeana, ca si maghiara, turca, mongola sau finlandeza apartin grupului de limbi Ural-altaice. Hangeul, alfabetul coreean, este compus din 10 vocale si 14 consoane. Regele Sejong cel Mare si scribii lui au creat acest sistem de scris in 1443 deoarece, desi vorbeau o limba diferita de cea chineza sau japoneza coreeni se bazau pe caracterele chinezesti cand studiau sau comunicau. Astazi, sistemul de scris Hangeul este folopsit de peste 70 de milioane de sud si nord coreeni si de peste 5 milioane de coreeni ce traiesc peste hotare.Bosura urmeaza sistemul de romanizare revazut adoptat de guvern in Iulie 2000.

Alfabetul limbii coreene, 한글 (hangeul)

Din punct de vedere istoric şi cultural, Coreea a avut de-a lungul timpului strânse relaţii cu China. Prin urmare, caracterele chinezeşti au fost folosite timp îndelungat în limba coreeană, în special pentru redarea textelor scrise. După o atentă analiză a limbii coreene medievale şi o bună înţelegere a fonemelor, Regele Sejong (1397-1450), împreună cu o echipă de erudiţi de la curte, au creat primul alfabet al limbii coreene. Scopul acestei transformări majore din limbă era acela de a deschide accesul populaţiei către limba scrisă, până atunci foarte dificilă din pricina caracterelor chinezeşti. Deşi noul alfabet era o unealtă mult mai puţin sofisticată şi mult mai uşor de învăţat şi folosit, trecerea a fost de durată, deoarece se foloseau în continuare, extensiv, caracterele chinezeşti, considerate un simbol al erudiţiei. Şi în limba coreeană contemporană s-au păstrat o parte dintre caracterele chinezeşti, în special în textele academice şi în ziarele sau revistele cu tradiţie lungă.
Iniţial alfabetul limbii coreene se numea 훈민정음 (hunmin jeongeum, "Sunetele adecvate pentru educaţia poporului"), după numele documentului în care a fost prezentat în 1446. Denumirea modernă a alfabetului coreean, 한글(hangeul), datează din 1912 şi îi aparţine lingvistului Ju Sigyeong. Denumirile peiorative date de către erudiţii cărora alfabetul coreean li se părea o invenţie vulgară precum언문 (eonmun, "scriitură autohtonă") sau아해글(ahaegeul, "scriitură pentru copii") au ieşit de mult timp din uz.
Alfabetul limbii coreene conţine 10 vocale (모음moeum) şi 14 consoane simple (자음jaeum). În afară de acestea mai există 5 consoane duble şi 11 combinaţii vocalice (diftongi).
Spre deosebire de limba română, în limba coreeană nu se regăsesc următoarele consoane: "f", "j", "ţ", "v", "z". Acestea sunt înlocuite în cazul calcurilor fonetice prin sunete apropiate, respectiv "ㅍ[ph]" şi "ㅂ", "ㅈ[dj]".

În limba coreeană, vocalele, atunci când nu sunt însoţite de consoane, sunt redate întotdeauna cu iniţiala "ㅇ". Prin urmare, în scriere, vocalele vor apărea după cum urmează: 아, 야, 어, 여, 오, 요, 우, 유, 으, 이, 애, 얘, 에, 예, 와, 왜, 외, 위, 워, 웨, 의.
2. Consoanele (자음)
2.1. Consoanele de bază sunt:
ㄱ [g] Consoană velară
ㄴ [n] Consoană dentală, nazală
ㄷ [d] Consoană dentală
ㄹ [r/l] Consoană dentală, lichidă. În funcţie de poziţia în silabă, se poate citi "r" sau "l".
ㅁ [m] Consoană labială, nazală
ㅂ Consoană labială. Consoana "v" este redată tot prinㅂ, în cazul calcurilor fonetice.
ㅅ [s] Consoană fricativă. Aflată în poziţie iniţială când e urmată de "ㅣ" se citeşte "ş".
ㅇ [-ng] Consoană finală, velară, nazală. Se găseşte întotdeauna în poziţia a treia în silabă, încheind silaba.
ㅈ [dj] Consoană alveolară-africată
ㅊ [tch] Consoană alveolară-africată, aspirată
ㅋ [kh] Consoană velară, aspirată
ㅌ [th] Consoană dentală, aspirată

2.2. Cele 5 consoane duble sunt formate prin repetarea consoanelor de bază ㄱ,ㄷ,ㅂ,ㅅ,ㅈ. Aceste consoane duble se redau fonetic prin sunete glotale.
ㄲ ['g] Consoană velară, glotală
ㄸ ['d] Consoană dentală, glotală
ㅃ ['b] Consoană labială, glotală
ㅆ ['s] Consoană fricativă, glotală
ㅉ ['dj] Consoană alveolară-africată, glotală

바쁘다 (a fi ocupat) 따라하다 (a urma, a imita)
2.3. Consoanele finale 받침
Consoanele care apar în poziţie finală se numesc 받침 (badchim). Toate consoanele pot fi în poziţie de "badchim", dar numai următoarele 7 se aud sonor: ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ,ㄹ,ㅁ,ㅂ,ㅇ.
În limba coreeană, într-o silabă, consoanele se pot afla în poziţie iniţială, în faţa unei vocale sau în poziţie finală, atât singure, cât şi în combinaţii de consoane.
Combinaţii de consoane în poziţii finale:
ㄳ, ㄶ, ㄵ, ㄼ, ㄾ, ㅄ, ㄺ, ㄻ, ㄿ.
În cazul grupului ㄳ, ㄶ, ㄵ, ㄼ, ㄾ, ㅄ prima consoană este cea care se aude, care este redată sonor. De exemplu: 많 [man], 앉 [an], 값 [gab], etc.
În grupul ㄺ, ㄻ, ㄿ cea de-a doua consoană este cea care are sonoritate. De exemplu: 닭 [dag], 삶 [sam], etc.
3. Silabele (음절)
În limba coreeană există trei modalităţi de formare a silabelor:
C + V (consoană + vocală) Ex. ㅂ + ㅣ => 비 (ploaie)
C + V + C (consoană + vocală + consoană)
Ex. ㅁ + ㅏ + ㄹ => 말 (cal)
C + V + C + C (consoană + vocală + consoană + consoană)
Ex. ㅅ + ㅏ + ㄹ + ㅁ => 삶 (viaţă)
Notă explicativă:
Pentru transcrierea în alfabet latin am folosit sistemul standard oficial, propus de Academia Naţională de Studii Coreene şi adoptat de Ministerul Culturii şi al Turismului din Republica Coreea în anul 2000 prin actul public 2000-8.

2.1. Silabarul limbii coreene (한국어 음절표)
În limba coreeană există 10 posibile combinaţii fonetice ale fiecărei consoane cu o vocală şi 14 combinaţii fonetice ale unei vocale cu fiecare consoană, între acestea fiind inclusă şi vocala liberă, marcată cu "ㅇ", rezultând un număr de 140 silabe de bază:

Constitutia si guvernul
Constitutia republicii coreea a fost promulgata prima data la 17 Iulie, 1948. Constitutia garanteaza drepturile fundamentale, libertatea omului, incluzand egalitaea in fata legii, libertatea resedintei, dreptul de a vota si de a avea birou public, dreptul la viata privata, libertatea de a alege religia si cuvantul si deasemenea dreptul la un mediu curat.

Sub un sistem prezidential, guvernul contine trei parti: legislativa, sub forma unei adunari nationale unicamerala, judecatoareasasca ce contine districtele Inaltele Curti si Curtea Suprema, si executiva condusa de presedinte care este seful statului si comandantul suprem al fortelor armate. Presedintele este asistat de primul ministru si de consiliul statal inluzand cabinetul.
